I received a Bachelors in Fine Arts where I focused in Ceramics. After I moved to Huntsville with my husband I got the opportunity to go back to school for a new skill. That skill happened to be massage. I had no idea if I was going to like it or not. As I continued my schooling at Madison School of Massage Therapy, I noticed that a lot of it was very intuitive for me and I have been practicing since 2013.
I have always inherently been and wanted to be, an artist. In everything that I do, the fact that I am an artist always comes through. I’ve taught swing dancing for 9 years, I’m in a local jazz band where I sing and play clarinet, I seem to be drawn to things that give me a creative outlet.
The great thing about massage is that I get to help people. I get to offer a little piece of time in the day that is all about healing someone. Some people need quiet time, some need to vent, some need help restoring their muscles. For me, massage therapy is another art form. One that is extremely beneficial and interesting. No person is quite the same as another. I hope that I can continue to be a creative healer in others lives.
